Auriez-vous besoin de plus de reconnaissance et d&#8217;appr\u00e9ciation au travail?<\/p>\n<p>Il faut savoir que le manque de reconnaissance est la deuxi\u00e8me cause de stress au travail. \u00c0 l&#8217;inverse, l\u2019appr\u00e9ciation et la reconnaissance aident \u00e0 b\u00e2tir un environnement positif, motivant et engageant pour les employ\u00e9s. La reconnaissance contribue \u00e9galement \u00e0 augmenter la confiance en soi des employ\u00e9s. Elle accentue l\u2019impression d\u2019\u00eatre \u00e0 la bonne place. Cela est d\u2019autant plus important dans ces temps de p\u00e9nurie de main-d\u2019\u0153uvre o\u00f9 le taux de roulement tend \u00e0 \u00eatre \u00e9lev\u00e9.<\/p>\n<h2>Quelques donn\u00e9es sur la reconnaissance et l&#8217;appr\u00e9ciation<\/h2>\n<p>Selon un r\u00e9cent sondage, 42\u00a0% des travailleurs qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois contre 60\u00a0% des travailleurs aux \u00c9tats-Unis estiment recevoir peu de reconnaissance au travail ou ne pas en recevoir du tout. Ces nombres sont \u00e9lev\u00e9s, surtout lorsque l\u2019on sait que la reconnaissance serait l\u2019un des premiers moteurs d\u2019engagement.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greatplacetowork.com\/resources\/blog\/creating-a-culture-of-recognition\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Une \u00e9tude men\u00e9e par Great Place to Work<sup>\u00ae <\/sup>indique que 37\u00a0% des employ\u00e9s interrog\u00e9s croient que recevoir davantage de reconnaissance personnelle au travail les encouragerait \u00e0 produire du meilleur travail, plus souvent<\/a>. De plus, lorsque la reconnaissance fait partie de la culture d\u2019entreprise, les employ\u00e9s per\u00e7oivent que les promotions sont davantage justifi\u00e9es. Cela entra\u00eene une augmentation de l\u2019innovation de leur part et les incite \u00e0 se d\u00e9passer au travail.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019appr\u00e9ciation, quant \u00e0 elle, motive les employ\u00e9s davantage que la peur. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.glassdoor.com\/employers\/blog\/employers-to-retain-half-of-their-employees-longer-if-bosses-showed-more-appreciation-glassdoor-survey\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Une \u00e9tude Glassdoor r\u00e9v\u00e9lait, il y a plusieurs ann\u00e9es, que 81\u00a0% des employ\u00e9s sont pr\u00eats \u00e0 travailler plus fort\u00a0lorsque leurs gestionnaires leur manifestent de l\u2019appr\u00e9ciation, contre 38\u00a0% lorsque les gestionnaires sont plus exigeants<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Diff\u00e9rence entre reconnaissance et appr\u00e9ciation<\/h2>\n<p>L\u2019appr\u00e9ciation et la reconnaissance favorisent toutes deux le sens de la loyaut\u00e9 et le sentiment d\u2019appartenance \u00e0 une organisation. Elles s\u2019av\u00e8rent n\u00e9anmoins diff\u00e9rentes l\u2019une de l\u2019autre. La reconnaissance est li\u00e9e \u00e0 ce que fait une personne alors que l\u2019appr\u00e9ciation est li\u00e9e \u00e0 la personne elle-m\u00eame.<\/p>\n<p>Cette distinction faite, on comprend que la reconnaissance est la validation des actions, du travail accompli. Elle souligne la contribution de l\u2019employ\u00e9 dans l\u2019organisation, ce qui donne un sens \u00e0 son travail, et elle exprime une certaine confiance envers ses aptitudes.<\/p>\n<p>Il ne faut toutefois pas n\u00e9gliger l\u2019appr\u00e9ciation au travail. Elle a aussi un grand impact sur l\u2019engagement des employ\u00e9s. <a href=\"https:\/\/hbr.org\/2019\/11\/why-employees-need-both-recognition-and-appreciation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alors que la reconnaissance est conditionnelle, l\u2019appr\u00e9ciation souligne la valeur inh\u00e9rente d\u2019une personne. Elle permet \u00e9galement de se connecter davantage avec celle-ci<\/a>. On comprend ainsi que les deux aspects, la reconnaissance et l\u2019appr\u00e9ciation, s\u2019av\u00e8rent importants pour une organisation et encore plus pour les employ\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<h2>Quand et comment exprime-t-on sa reconnaissance?<\/h2>\n<p>La reconnaissance doit d\u2019abord se baser sur l\u2019authenticit\u00e9. Une bonne parole, si elle n\u2019est pas sinc\u00e8re, est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement ressentie comme telle et l\u2019on passa alors \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 de ce qui est recherch\u00e9. Ensuite, la reconnaissance doit \u00e9galement souligner de mani\u00e8re pr\u00e9cise la raison pour laquelle elle est exprim\u00e9e. Sinon, elle risque d\u2019\u00eatre per\u00e7ue comme fausse.<\/p>\n<p>La reconnaissance, tout comme l\u2019appr\u00e9ciation, doit \u00e9galement \u00eatre exprim\u00e9e par les bonnes personnes. Si l\u2019on songe souvent aux gestionnaires imm\u00e9diats, il ne faut pas n\u00e9gliger l\u2019apport des clients et des coll\u00e8gues. En faisant de la reconnaissance un \u00e9l\u00e9ment important de votre culture organisationnelle, ces d\u00e9monstrations deviendront plus naturelles et seront plus facilement accueillies.<\/p>\n<p>La reconnaissance doit \u00eatre manifest\u00e9e au bon moment. Si le simple merci peut se faire de mani\u00e8re spontan\u00e9e, la reconnaissance qui suit apr\u00e8s que des efforts importants aient \u00e9t\u00e9 fournis, \u00e0 la suite d\u2019une r\u00e9alisation pr\u00e9cise, de l\u2019atteinte de certaines \u00e9tapes d\u00e9cisives ou lorsque les attentes sont d\u00e9pass\u00e9es est \u00e9galement tr\u00e8s appr\u00e9ci\u00e9e. Ainsi, la reconnaissance peut devenir un levier de performance important s\u2019il s\u2019appuie sur une relation harmonieuse.<\/p>\n<p>La reconnaissance peut prendre une forme mat\u00e9rielle ou non mat\u00e9rielle, financi\u00e8re ou non. Elle peut prendre la forme d\u2019une pratique (comme dire merci et f\u00e9liciter les employ\u00e9s) ou faire partie d\u2019un programme.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mcgill.ca\/mforum\/files\/mforum\/saunderson_-_getting_recognition_right_2015_03_23.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">La pratique de la reconnaissance aurait un impact positif de 60\u00a0% sur l\u2019engagement (lorsqu\u2019elle se base sur de bonnes relations) alors qu\u2019un programme de reconnaissance aurait seulement 21\u00a0% d\u2019impact positif sur l\u2019engagement<\/a>. Cela ne signifie pas qu\u2019il soit n\u00e9cessaire d\u2019abolir les programmes de reconnaissance. Or, il s\u2019agit peut-\u00eatre d\u2019un signe que ceux-ci doivent \u00eatre r\u00e9\u00e9valu\u00e9s r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement.<\/p>\n<h2>Et l\u2019appr\u00e9ciation?<\/h2>\n<p>L\u2019appr\u00e9ciation est aussi centrale pour maintenir un environnement de travail positif. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.glassdoor.com\/employers\/blog\/employers-to-retain-half-of-their-employees-longer-if-bosses-showed-more-appreciation-glassdoor-survey\/\">Un sondage<\/a> de 2013 indique que 53\u00a0% des personnes interrog\u00e9es disent que ressentir davantage d\u2019appr\u00e9ciation de la part de leur gestionnaire les aiderait \u00e0 demeurer plus longtemps au sein de leur entreprise. Et cela est vrai, m\u00eame si 68\u00a0% affirment que leur sup\u00e9rieur manifeste suffisamment d\u2019appr\u00e9ciation.<\/p>\n<p>Maintenant, comment manifeste-t-on son appr\u00e9ciation? Avant toute chose, il importe d\u2019\u00e9couter ce que les gens ont \u00e0 dire. Demandez-leur, sinc\u00e8rement et avec un r\u00e9el int\u00e9r\u00eat, comment ils vont. Vous d\u00e9montrerez ainsi votre int\u00e9r\u00eat envers eux et cela est d\u2019autant plus important dans un contexte de pand\u00e9mie.<\/p>\n<p>Ensuite, en soulignant ce que l\u2019on appr\u00e9cie le plus chez la personne, on d\u00e9veloppe des relations plus solides et l\u2019esprit d\u2019\u00e9quipe plus grand.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Faites-vous du bon travail?
